At  FIBERFOS-Tecnologia em Fibra Óptica, founded in November 2005, initially known as FIBEROPT and later TFO, we are dedicated to providing innovative solutions for the development of telecommunications networks

History

At the beginning, the telecommunications market was very important for us and working directly with the operators or through great installers allowed us to be in some of the biggest projects in Portugal .

For example, we participated in the first FTTH project in Portugal, whose client was TVTEL (later acquired by ZON).

We participated in the first phase of the SONAE  FTTH project.  We have developed the first multi-operator box approved by ZON for its FTTH network.  Also for ZON we developed a small box for the FTTH in areas of small villas.

Portugal Telecom used in its "GPON network", ODF developed by us. We provide material for the Next Generation Networks (RNG) with DSTelecom as the customer. Also for the RNG we provide material to the Visabeira group. More recently at Vodafone, for its FTTH network we have also been able to homologate products.

But of course our market is not just FTTH, we also have other examples of success, such as the development and supply of products for "EDP - Electricidade de Portugal".

Quality is important to us, so we have been keeping our top partners / suppliers for many years.
